We used Allen and Sons several years ago. We try to use the same repair man if happy. Since we had their sticker, we thought we must have satisfied. We called Friday and were told they would be there Tuesday between 8 and 11. Since it was a holiday weekend, I thought we would wait so we wouldn't pay overtime. The repair man was right on time and nice. He said it would cost $188.00. I thought he was kidding since it was a 5-10 minute job to fix the dryer.
I told him that was very expensive for such an easy job in 5 minutes. He said they charge by the job. I called the office and talked to a manager. He confirmed that the minimum labor was $135.00. The repairman had told me they were the best priced around, which I know is not true. My in-laws had a dryer repaired in Bellflower with several parts for $80 total. I really got ripped off and will never call them again.
