"Patch" is all they do
|
I'm writing this review because I wish it was available when I was looking for a roofer. After 4 attempts to fix my room from Oct through March I was finally told that they were unable to fix my roof and that I would receive a refund. I received a partial refund and a copy of the original agreement I signed when I agreed to have them do the work. They had highlighted a line that said "75% refund (labor fees)" and I received a check for just that 75% of the total. But that's not what I was told when they said they could no longer help me. The very next line in their own contract says, "If we are unable to fix the problem after two visits you will receive a full refund including labor."
Not only did they try to only pay attention to their own contract when it suited them, but I was ready for a refund after the second attempt failed. I was told repeatedly "I have one more trick", "I'll just try one more thing." So I tried to be patient, I wanted the job done, and I was willing to give them multiple chances. After contacting the BBB I received a copy of the letter they sent the BBB in response to my complaint. It says I was difficult to work with. I don't know how much more patient or easy to work with I could have possibly been other than to have just accepted their partial refund and sat down and shut up without ever making a complaint.
Beware: they may appear to be the cheapest but their quality will also be the cheapest. There are many other roofers in the are with good BBB ratings. After I started looking on the BBB website I found 3 roofer and had each of them come out and give me a quote. All of them had many ways to fix my roof.
